this solitary and potent warrior has descended from the yamabushi  (山伏), which were Japanese austere mountain-inhabiting hermits known for their strength and magic powers • like the yamabushi, the yamimushi hold supernatural strength • they hide in the corner regions of mimushi’s brain, and use their powers to appear and disappear, since as pacifists, they avoid war as far as they can • their moral obligation, though, causes them to come out of hiding when their allies are in need • while hidden, the yamimushi keep in their training temples, practicing and inventing new forms of martial arts •
